Seattle in Progress runs a popular desktop and mobile site for tracking construction in Seattle. We make it easy for Seattle residents to see proposed construction and influence what’s built. Our broader mission is to make Seattle residents more informed and engaged in issues that matter to the city. Our revenue comes from Seattle in Progress Pro, a real estate monitoring and analytics tool, and from partnering with businesses and government on custom mapping and data analysis.
We’re looking to bring on additional programming support on a part-time basis, 10-20 hours per week. The work can be done from anywhere, on your own schedule. This could be a perfect position for a civic tech enthusiast, freelancer or very advanced student.
Applicants will ideally have at least some experience with every part of the stack, but bulk of the work is likely to be on the front end. Our stack consists of:

This opening is for a part time independent contractor or freelancer. Hourly pay will be commensurate with experience. If you have an established hourly rate, please include your rate information.
